"Endorsement Letters"

"Jane and I want to thank you for your paricipation in the 2010 Governor's Derby Celebration. We know events of such magnitude are not possible without a dedicated, creative group of people who give freely of their time, energies, and talents. We are grateful for your commitment to the event and hope that you will join us next year". Governor Steven L.Beshear

Gary Bertram’s wildlife artwork has been an inspiration to all who visit the JJAudubon Museum in Henderson , Ky. His work shows a strength and movement that seems to flow along side of our great artist, John James Audubon. I have enjoyed using two of his unique new pieces “The African Crowned Crane” and the “Owl” for advertising the present exhibit Fowl Play. Some of Bertram's work will exhibit through June 2010.

As we begin our year of celebration at the John James Audubon Museum , we are very proud to have talented wildlife artists such as Bertram to help us visually educate the public and our visiting school groups about birds. Kim McGrew - Arts Administrator for the Audubon Museum.

"Gary's art is very concise and articulate regarding anatomy. The finer details such as the skeletal features are dead center. Being a taxidermist for 30+ years and after reproducing many specimens and studying their anatomy, it is clear that Gary has a talent that he portrays in his artwork."

Harry Whitehead (Owner of Gunner's Taxidermy in Lexington, Ky): Harry has won the NWTF Grand National Championship 7 straight years. He has won 10 WASCO Awards and 1 National WASCO Award which is for the most artistic mount in the competition. He is also a National Judge and has judged many state, regional and national shows across the country.
