(Welcome to the website of award-winning nature, wildlife, portrait and abstract artist Gary Bertram. Gary's work has been exhibited in shows around the country, most recently winning the "People's Choice Award" at the 2006 Southern Wildlife Festival in Decatur, Alabama.
Gary has traveled to Central America, Africa, and other locations to gather reference photos for his wildlife art, which stylistically favors a detailed realism. His oil paintings and pencil or graphite drawings demonstrate a masterful understanding of light and shadow.
In addition to his wildlife series, Gary is also accomplished at creating abstract art of all sizes, as well as people and pet portraits. He is available to do commission art work.
